As Ondo State prepares for the governorship election this Saturday, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Ondo State Chapter, Very Reverend Father Anselm Olorunfemi Ologunwa has advised electorate to vote with prayerful consideration
Reverend Father Ologunwa stated this during the 4th plenary meeting at St John's Anglican church Agbaluku Arigidi Akoko.
He explained that voting prayerfully would induce leaders who promote justice, peace, and righteousness
The Chairman said such such leaders would not go without Upholding the Christian values of integrity, honesty, and compassion thereby inducing better society
In a statement by the Director information and communications, Daisi Ajayi, Fr. Ologunwa maintained that the Sunshine State required spirit filled leadership following the widening gap between the rich and the poor.
According to him, inequality, and social injustice are another cancer worm that has fueled discontent and desperation in our society
He congratulated the newly elected chairmen joining the executive team with prayers that God would grant them the wisdom and strength in their respective roles.
While appreciating the Outgone Executives the CAN Chairman stressed the need for the clergymen
to remain steadfast, united, and prayerful especially in this trying period .
Father Ologunwa also urged the members to channel prayers against the persistent threats of terrorism, banditry, and ethnic tensions that had claimed countless lives, displaced communities, and shattered many dreams in the country.
