The immediate past Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu has expressed congratulations to the newly inaugurated chairmen and their vice across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State particularly the chairman and vice chairman of Ondo East local government area, Hon. Joshua Fola Ogunduyile and Hon. Seyi Oguntimehin, respectively.
Otunba Akinlosotu spoke shortly after witnessing the grand ceremony at the International Events Centre (The DOME), Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to him, it is a new dawn for local government administration in the state following Supreme Court judgment, which mandates that those at the helms of affairs in local government areas are democratically elected.
He said it is now their duty to ensure that their constituency witness governmental programs and development stressing that the expectations of the people are quite high.
Particularly, he applauded the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his exemplary leadership, tasking new chairmen and their vice across the 18 local government areas of the state to take a cue from Mr. Governor and raise the bar of excellence.
He commended the people of Ondo East LG, urging them to support the new administration to succeed in their assignments.
